Rebecca C. McClear

​Rebecca McClear brings over five decades of distinguished legal experience to the firm. Her career is defined by a deep commitment to public service, rigorous private practice, and extensive leadership within the Michigan community.

​Professional Experience

Rebecca began her career in the public sector, serving as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Ingham County (1975–1977) before joining the Michigan Department of Attorney General as an Assistant Attorney General (1977–1981).

​

In 1981, she transitioned into private practice in Owosso, Michigan, partnering with Thomas E. McClear and Gerald J. McClear. Following this partnership, she managed her own highly successful solo practice for nearly four decades, from 1988 through 2025. Today, she serves as Of Counsel at Zaleski Law Firm, where she leverages her vast expertise to guide clients through complex life transitions.​

Rebecca specializes in protecting legacies and navigating the intricacies of property and elder law. Her primary areas of practice include:

 

  • Estate Planning: Comprehensive strategy involving Trusts and Wills.
